There have been reports from many parts of the world that October 2008 was unusually cold. But, NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), announced that last month “was the hottest on record”. GISS is run by Al Gore’s chief scientific ally, Dr James Hansen and is one of four bodies responsible for monitoring global temperatures. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration registered 63 local snowfall records and 115 lowest-ever temperatures for the October, and ranked it as only the 70th-warmest October in 114 years.
So who should we believe….the warmers or, the coolers?
Science is all about validating hypotheses by data analysis,,,but, what if the data is wrong? Independent analysis of the GISS data showed that temperature records from Russia and elsewhere were not based on October readings at all. Since October data was unavailable in time, GISS used data from September in place of October data.
This is not the first time Dr Hansen’s methodology has been called into question. In 2007 he was forced by Watts and McIntyre (Watts Up With That and Climate Audit) to revise his published figures for US surface temperatures, to show that the hottest decade of the 20th century was not the 1990s, as he had claimed, but the 1930s.
Beware politically motivated scientists (& all politicians) who don’t check their data!

This is all a load of bull. The Earth is going through some of the coldest times in over 200 years. Australia is bracing for snowfall in the dessert. CO2 does not cause climate change. If anything is happening it’s the Suns effect on the Earth. 2/3 of the planet is covered by water, which makes us that much more likely to affected by the Suns output. The Sun is going through it’s least active cycle in over 200 years and this global warming crap is still out there. Doesn’t surprise me though, the elite prey on the weak minded to full fill their agenda of mass carbon taxes and world de-population. The data coming from NASA or other government regulated bodies are fixing the numbers, they lie about the models. Hell the models they use for this ‘”change” are all rigged to spew false data. How can we believe that during the Medievil days, with no suv’s or coal polluters that a horse and buggey was the cause for an almost 5 degree global increase in temperatures. In the north of england you could plant vineyards that flourish year round! People please do some indipendant research before you come to a conclusion that the media and your government want you to believe for “your own benefit”.
