Is there no limit to our government’s mission to sideline parents and monopolise advice to children? This story represents a new high water mark for the rising nanny state.
The latest wheeze comes from the government funded School Food Trust. Not content with providing advice on healthy eating…..they now want teachers to send out warning letters to parents who fail to comply with school healthy-eating policies. And in advice that could be seen as patronising, the government-funded body suggests further that they send congratulatory letters to those who pack healthy lunches for their children.
