Perhaps not!

The map of Europe HERE, illustrates how the percentage of blondes in the total population increases as you travel north, from the Mediterranean countries towards Scandinavia.

However, if you overlay this with data on suicide rates ( see country table HERE) it seems that suicide rates also increase significantly with lows in Mediterranean countries and highs in Scandinavean countries. The UK appears to stand out with a relatively low rate of suicides. 

Perhaps the sets of data are unrelated but it does pose the question….do blondes really have more fun?
