Produce Your Own Payslip. How Many Banks Fall For This?

November 28, 2007 · 3 Comments

So I ’ve spotted this sure fire property development opportunity but, I need a bank loan to finance it. The amount I need is several times my current salary but I plan to redeem the loan within 18 months from realising the proceeds of my investment. However, the banks have scaled back their lending criteria and they will only lend me say, 5 times my annual salary, provided I can produce a recent, original payslip.

But, this won’t cut it since I need 7 times my annual salary. What do I do?  Well, in the past that would have been the end of it. But, now thanks to the wonder of the internet, I can obtain my own pay slip and input whatever salary I want…… HERE. Customised pay slips on demand.

Clearly, obtaining  a loan by misrepresenting your financial situation is fraud. But web sites do not survive on thin air so…………..I wonder how many unpayable loans are on the books of Northern Rock?

[...] Technology has brought the production of fake documents from the back street to the living room and lowered the cost. The benefit & entitlement world and “open door” immigration policy, created by New Labour, has unwittingly fuelled a boom in identity fraud. A fake student card can help you get a 50% reduction in your Council Tax bill, a fake driving licence can help you get a job or, “eliminate” driving convictions. Fake identities provide an easy but, fraudulent route to government benefits, improving an individual’s immigration status and the sort of financial fraud allegedly committed by canoe man John Hopkins.
